Welcome! It is our great pleasure to invite you to the Edinburgh Corporate Finance Conference 2026 (#ECFConference26)

The Accounting and Finance group at the University of Edinburgh Business School is delighted to host the seventh Edinburgh Corporate Finance Conference with the support of AFFECT (Academic Female Finance Committee of the American Finance Association) and Elsevier. The conference will be at the highest quality level with 9 papers in 3 plenary sessions with discussants and 6 papers in 2 speedy presentation sessions without discussants over a day and one-half. The conference will be held at the Edinburgh Futures Institute in central Edinburgh on the 24th and 25th of May 2026.

Keynote Speaker

The keynote speech will be delivered by Manju Puri, J. B. Fuqua Professor in Finance at Duke University.

Paper Selection Process

For this conference, we are soliciting papers, both theoretical and empirical, in the area of corporate finance. We especially encourage submissions authored by underrepresented groups in academic finance (women, people of colour, people of diverse gender identities and sexual orientation, etc). For the latest statistics on representation, please refer to Figure 3 (p. 9) in the AFA Professional Climate Report. (Please note that these are the only statistics available at this time and they may not be reflective of underrepresentation in other geographical regions or for other subgroups, therefore we offer them only as illustrative and not a definitive set of guidelines.)

Paper Submissions

Electronic submissions of unpublished papers should be submitted by midnight GMT on Sunday November 2, 2025. Please make sure that the file you submit has been anonymised. Authors will be notified by mid-January 2026.
